I bought this tape for the step down family room step. It glows even though no sun ever hits it. A handyman who specializes in adapting the home for the elderly suggested it. It really sticks.

Just what I waned. We had slick wooden stairs painted dark brown. Very hard to see. Some lighting on each stair but still hard to see. They WERE VERY SLICK AND DANGEROUS. This fixed it.
