Bob Trombone –
I probably will revisit/edit after a few more weeks. But these little battery-powered lights do exactly what they are advertised to do. They are not “overly” sensitive (as are some other, cheaper brands), but give just the right amount of light just where you need it based on motion in the dark or very dimly lit area. I have mine located in a couple of stairwells and the light they provide is simply perfect!

I love these. They work great and have long battery life. My wife installed two of them in the bedroom (one on each side of the bed). The one on my side comes on when I get near my side and the same for her. After you are out of sensor range, they stay on for long enough to find the bathroom or to get in bed after you turn the lights off. There is also one in the bathroom that comes on when you enter. They are just bright enough to enable you to see and not so bright that they blind you in the middle of the night. These are extremely cool household gadgets and made standard night lights a thing of the past for us. They are definitely worth every penny.

I’m using these in a dark hallway and they are great. Enough light to see where you are going but not enough to disturb others or wake you to much in the middle of the night. Easy to stick them up with the double sided tape included. Would 100% recommend

I have been using this brand of lights for 15 years. I’ve only had 1 stop working. I use them on our hallways and stairs. Had a power outage at night and it was great to have them as we were able to get downstairs safely.
Tracy Scott –
They work if you place them flat on the floor. If you stick them to the wall (which is what I want), they do not work. I’m guessing that the battery slots aren’t tight enough.

I bought three (3) of these for a set of stairs, placed brand new batteries in them and used the 2-sided tape to place them on the wall of the stair-well, per the included instructions. One of the lights is working well and the other two are dead. The two bad ones do nothing at all, so the net result for me is a fairly poor overall performance rating for this product. I had high hopes that this was a solution to an ongoing issue, but it seems as though that is not the case. I will simply remove them and toss them in the same room with the Ginsu knives. I will not even waste my time or expend the effort to contact Mr. Beams, because I believe that a company should offer a product that will work out of the box, at least for a while. I will, however, steer as many folks as I can away from this company.Update on this product: Mr. Beams actually initiated contact with me in order to replace the two non-functional lights! I have given up arguing with the customer service departments of other companies because it doesn’t make sense anymore to spend hours of time bickering with customer service agents who have all day to wear you down. Having this company contact me and OFFER to replace the lights made my day! So, I have upgraded this review to four stars and will now recommend Mr. Beams.

The Beams battery activated night lights are great with very long battery light and just enough light to illuminate the stairs or a cabinet without having to turn on a big bright room light and wake everyone up.We have been using a different variety of this light, the Beams MB720, for years all over our house and have been VERY satisfied with all of them. The locations are as varied as you can imagine with several in cabinets, one in our walk-in closet and even one mounted above the toilet. Again, in all of those situations the Beams MB720 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002FCGI8Y/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 has been fantastic. So, why then did I replace the one I had on our staircase with this newer model, the MB710?Simple, we have two Australian Shepherds and the MB710 can be mounted so that it doesn’t activate when the dogs walk by at night but still does activate when any humans do (so we can see the dog toys on the stairs and not break a leg).

Use these near toilet, sink, and on stairs. great when you need to go at night and don’t want to be blinded. Guests appreciate them too.

Great lights
Just the right brightness for the stairs at night. 3 lights provide great coverage for motion detection and light for 14 stairs. Easy to install don’t look out of place

One of them is defective
This is a fantastic device. I would have given it a 5-star if all work as planned. One of the three is defective. This is disappointing because this is my second order. For the first order, one of the units was defective too. I returned and reordered. Now, this is happening again. I wanted to return the defective unit and ask for a replacement unit, but I’m not sure if I can return just 1 unit. There is no way to contact the seller. Good product but bad quality control.
